Bienvenue à Normandie

Possibly the perfect French school trip destination, Normandy offers a vast array of history, French culture, great food and a great base at the Gite de Bellevue, with onsite language lessons available.

It is very difficult to find a region in Europe that has as much historical and cultural significance as that offered up by Normandy. While many know it primarily as the stage for the dramatic D-Day invasion of World War II and the home of William the Conqueror, former King of England, Normandy actually has plenty more to offer that will appeal to the more casual school group.

Normandy has built a reputation for its excellent food and drink that is produced locally, why not take a tour around one of its unique markets and sample the local delicacies for yourself while interacting with the friendly locals? Or if you would rather have a more relaxing trip, the beautiful coastlines and sandy beaches may be perfect for you.

Normandy does a great job of mixing in its wonderful history with more modern areas meaning you will never feel overwhelmed with what is going on around you. It is worth taking a day out to visit one of Normandy’s stunning city’s including Rouen, Caen and Cherbourg which all have their own wonderful sights and excursions.

There is so much to see and do in Normandy that you may find yourself returning year after year just to see all that it has to offer!
