Design & Technology School Trips to Iceland

Iceland has always been synonmous with cutting edge, quirky design and now forms a major part of the national GDP.  The superb Design March festival, held annually, celebrates this design and provides a great opportunity for your students to be inspired by nordic design, at a unique festival, in a unique country.

Not only will your students be able to soak up inspiration at Design March, but Iceland itself provides a unique setting to spark inspiring young minds and aid their further studies and careers in design.  Bring your aspiring Design & Technology students to the unique destination of Iceland on their next school trip. With its ever growing creativity, what better way to engage your students than to experience this beautiful destination which offers inspiration to all with its volcanoes, glaciers, lagoons, waterfalls and geysers.

Design March festival is an important, international, annual event that showcases the best of the Icelandic design scene and allows people to get up close and personal with both local and international designers!

This is our third year with Adaptable Travel and it was another very successful trip. We had an amazing time.

We saw the Northern Lights, the students were so excited and enamoured with Blue Lagoon and all the other amazing tourist sites we went to. The Glacier Hike was tough yet awe inspiring too.

Our itinerary was tight and I would in future ensure there was a little bit less rushing around, we had two pupils who found it a really demanding trip and perhaps in future I will ensure that Gatwick Flights; Geographically these are more suitable for our needs are obtained.

All pupils had a wonderful time as did the staff and would like to thank our amazing tour guide Gudlaug Jonsdottir for her constant support for us when we were there.
