Barcelona is one of most popular destinations for Art & Design school trips - when you consider what it has to offer it is no wonder.

With the capital of Catalonia, an independent-minded region, that produced such ground-breaking artists as Salvador Dali, Joan Miró, and served as Pablo Picasso’s home for a number of years, its no wonder Art & Design students are flocking to this wonderful destination. The culture of Barcelona's art and design can be found inside and out. Many works of art are housed in their breathtaking museums, such as the Dali Museum, Gaudi Museum and Museu Picasso to name a few.

In additon, many other works of Art & Design can be found by just strolling around the stunning city's landmark buildings, such as CaixaForum, the MACBA, the Fundació Miró and La Pedrera. The breathtaking works of master architect Antoni Gaudí and his modernist contemporaries truly define Barcelona as a center for creative expression.  Looking for more?  Why not travel to Figueres, home of the amazing Salvador Dali Museum.

Adaptable were fantastic! Helped me with some tricky internal politics going on, and could not do enough to help. The trip itself was fabulous, helped by great weather. Friendly coach drivers, Hostel was perfect for our needs, slight delay on flight but nothing which affected the itinerary.

The meal we paid £10pp for at the hostel was disgusting and looked like it was worth £2pp MAXIMUM, and there was no vegetarian option.
The drivers were friendly but didn't know a lot of where we were going and kept asking me where they could park etc, and of course I did not know because that was the responsibility of the company, not me.
There was also often not enough time on the itinerary to get between places, so for example, when we visited Garroxta (the volcanic park), we were supposed to have 3-4 hours and ended up only having 2 because there was not enough time between our concert rehearsal, our excursion and the concert.
Additionally, there was often not enough information on the itinerary, with missing postcodes or meeting points.
Having a rehearsal venue not in the hostel was also very inconvenient.
Overall I found this trip very stressful to be in charge of whilst away.

The restaurant that was chosen for our evening meal was not the best for the price. Everything was served with chips and no vegetables and there was some confusion about the ordering system before we left.
The remainder of the tour was very good and of educational value.
