Depart school and travel to Holland. Arrive Dutch Coast in the afternoon and check into the accommodation. Free time at leisure to explore the local sights.

Breakfast at hotel. Today your group shall be visiting the Amsterdam district of IJburg, which was created by reclaiming land from water. IJburg is also a test-bed for new floating houses technology and has a complete floating neighbourhood, with jetties instead of paved footpaths. Your students shall tour the area and learn all about its construction and sustainability. Free time at leisure.

Breakfast at hotel. Today your students shall concentrate on water management strategies in Noordward. Students will be able to learn about the Room for River Programme which aims to manage high water levels and control river flooding. Your specialist guide will take you on a tour of the area and explain more about the project and how it is being implemented. Free time at leisure.

Breakfast in the hotel. Dependent on your departure times, you may have the opportunity to visit the coastal defences of Zuid Holland. Depart Holland and return back to school.
