Walk The Great Wall of China
One of the eight wonders of the world, and undisputedly China’s most iconic landmark the Great Wall of China stretches a total of 3,500 miles, spanning 5 provinces from Shanhaiguan Pass in the east to Jiayuguan Pass in the west. Originally built for military use to keep invaders out, at present the wall is open to tourists and residents who wish to walk along this impressive structure. Although portions of the 3,500-mile structure are closed for repairs and refurbishment students can explore an impressive stretch in the downtown area and this attraction is a must see for any school trip to China.
As such an iconic landmark much of the Great Wall is home to tourist hotspots in the surrounding cities. Adaptable Travel will arrange for your students to explore parts of the wall that are rarely visited, often giving them the experience of being the only ones on this part of the wall.
