The Munich Public Observatory has been open to the public for over 70 years and is now one of the largest and most renowned public observatories in Germany. On a visit to this observatory your students be given the opportunity to use some of the instruments on offer to view the nights sky with incredible clarity on the 300 square metre observation platform which overlooks Munich below. As well as the fixed instruments on offer there are a number of portable telescopes which are available for visitors to use throughout the observation platform. The observatory also offers regular tours in English one day a week with the opportunity to book more in advance.
