The Olympic Museum

The Olympic Museum is located in Lausanne, and welcomes over 20,000 school children each year. It is the second most visited museum in the whole of Switzerland, and organises a large variety of events throughout the year, to promote the activities, history and spirit of the Olympic Movement.
Sport is the main element of visiting the Olympic Museum; however history, design and technology, culture and sociology are some of the other themes which are addressed, reflecting the diversity of Olympism. A permanent exhibition is split over three interactive floors, focusing on the Olympic World, the Olympic Games, and finally the Olympic Spirit.
Groups benefit from a hands-on experience, thanks to interactive and dynamic resources. In addition, students can participate in stimulating workshops with motivated activity leaders (TOM Coaches) in the Gym or the Studio.
Please note: As the Olympic Museum is located in Lausanne, approx. 1 hour from Geneva, transport will be required either by public transport or private coach.
