The Jewish museum is an art museum and repository of cultural artefacts. The museum houses over 26,000 objects, meaning it has the largest collection of art and Jewish culture outside of museums in Israel. It is located at 1109 Fifth Avenue, in the former Felix M. Warburg House alone the museum mile. It opened its doors in the year of 1947 and has a huge collection including; paintings, sculptures, artefacts, Jewish ceremonial art and many other pieces important to the preservation of Jewish history and culture. Artwork belongs to artists such as; James Tissot, Marc Chagall, George Segal, Eleanor Antin and Deborah Kass and many more.
