Sierra Nevada-Half day
Show all photos
Sierra Nevada in Granada refers to a specific mountain range located in the province of Granada, Spain. This Sierra Nevada is part of the larger Betics mountain range, stretching across the southeastern region of the Iberian Peninsula. It's notable for being the highest mountain range in mainland Spain and the third-highest in Europe after the Alps and the Caucasus.
One of the most iconic features of Sierra Nevada in Granada is its highest peak, Mulhacén, which rises to an impressive height of 3,479 meters (11,414 feet) above sea level. This peak, along with others in the range, is often capped with snow, creating a striking contrast against the sunny landscapes of southern Spain.
