A name all students will be familiar with is that of William Shakespeare. His iconic literary works have been a staple of curriculums across the globe and have stood the test of time for over 400 years. Treat your students to the authentic Shakespearian experience at the Globe Theatre in London, which was constructed using the same methods and specifications as the original theatre. As the first building allowed to have a thatched roof since the infamous Fire of London in 1666, students can experience stepping back in time to a realistic 16th-century building. As well as guided tours of the impressive building itself, your group can also pay a visit to the museum and delve deeper into the history of the playwright. An experience at the Globe Theatre aims to make Shakespeare accessible to everyone by modernising his works and relating them to modern elements. Why not stay and witness an original Shakespearian performance performed as many Elizabethans and Jacobeans would have enjoyed in the original Globe Theatre?
