The Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna is a perfect opportunity for your students to get up close and personal with some of their favourite animals, as well as exploring the wonderful world of biodiversity. Awarded the award for ‘Best Zoo in the Europe’ 5 times between 2008 and 2018 it promises to be a fantastic experience for students of all ages. The zoo itself is located on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Schönbrunn Palace and is home to over 700 animals over its impressive 17-hectare grounds. Not only an enriching experience the Schönbrunn Zoo is also immensely educational as a centre for research and teaching allowing students to understand the vital conservation work on-going globally, and how they can support and ensure the preservation of biodiversity themselves.
