Watching over Paris The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, commonly known as Sacre-Coeur is the impressive and uniquely recognisable Roman Catholic church and minor Basilica dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This popular landmark is perched atop the summit of Montmarte offering fantastic views of the city from the highest point in Paris. With the city rolling beneath it the views are not the only visibly stunning element of this building, with intricate décor and delicate carving on its exterior. This popular landmark ranks the second most visted, after Notre-Dame Cathedral and promises not to disappoint.
