Rome’s National Gallery of Modern Art is home to the most comprehensive collection of Italian art dating between the 19th and 21st centuries, as well as an impressive collection of foreign works from the same period. The vast collection totals up to almost 20,000 pieces spanning movements such as Neoclassicism, Surrealism, and Impressionism as well as Avant-garde styles dating from the 20th century. Amongst its vast collection the gallery offers inspirational examples in disciplines such as sculpture, installation and paint as well as drawing and sketches.
