Dedicated to British and Commonwealth soldiers whose graves are unknown, The Menin Gate is a fitting and impressive memorial made up of the names of over 54,000 soldiers who have no known grave carved out of stone panels to form a poignant monument.

The Menin Gate is a memorial to some 55,000 British soldiers killed in the Ypres salient who have no known grave.

The famous Last Post ceremony takes place here at 20.00 each evening.  Adaptable Travel will provide you with a wreath which you can lay at the Menin Gate as a mark of respect, often a moving moment for students.
