Kazimierz Walking Tour
Show all photos

Kazimierz was the centre of Jewish life in Krakow for over 500 years before it was systematically destroyed during WWII. Rediscovered in the 1990’s thanks to the fall of the regime and worldwide exposure from the renowned film Schindler’s List, Kazimierz is now Krakow’s most exciting district packed with historical and religious sites. In fact, no other place in Europe conveys a sense of pre-war Jewish culture better than Kazimierz.

During this 2-hour walking tour, students will discover many sights including:

  • Remuh Synagogue
  • Szeroka Street
  • The Old Synagogue
  • Isaac Synagogue
  • The Old Jewish Cemetery
  • The Nowy Square
  • Schindler’s List filming sites
  • Corpus Christi Church
  • Kazimierz Market Square
  • The pedestrians bridge
  • Ghetto Heroes Square
