Representing the evolving humanistic views of Florence of the early Renaissance, the Ospedale degli Innocenti has provided care for children and infants for over 5 centuries, not only this, the Ospedale degli Innocenti is an architectural masterpiece. Originally a childrens orphanage, the Gallery of the Ospedale degli Innocenti houses over 40 works of art such as Adoration of the Magi (1488) by Domenico Ghirlandaio, and the Madonna and Child (about 1450) by Luca della Robbia to name a few. the exhibition also showcases Renaissance prie-dieus, chests and furnishings.
