Built in the early 1600’s this luxurious palace and its gardens were the dream of Louis XIV and hosted the French monarchy for decades before the demise of this aristocracy. This palace is also noted as playing a significant role in the early months of the French revolution. Impressive not only for its rich historical significance but also for its luxurious interior, adorned with gold and intricate paintings throughout. Students can explore the palace and its gardens and develop an understanding for its historic significance and role within the greater history of France.
