CERN
Visit the European organisation for Nuclear Research. CERN is home to the largest particle physics laboratories in the world. Half-day tours of the centre can be arranged and hosted by scientists that work at the facility day-to-day.
CERN have also recently opened their brand new flagship Science Gateway Facility. Specially designed as a knowledge and education hub for visitors, It will give everyone the chance to immerse themselves in the world of physics and better understand the work being done at CERN. It aims to inspire future generations and nurture the talents of our young scientists in the making. The space features a large auditorium for talks and workshops, as well as a number of exhibitions and a laboratory where students can get hands on. All of this is housed in a separate building which is a fantastic work of engineering in itself.
Please note, due to the nature of the visit, CERN require educational facilities to book the visit directly. CERN have stated they will reject visits coming directly from agencies and any which have not been booked directly by teachers.
Please get in touch if you require more information on how to book your tour.
