Swiss Plasma Center
The Swiss Plasma Centre is a research laboratory, dedicated to the ongoing study and development of plasma physics and fusion as a new source of energy.
By visiting the site, students will get to learn the basic principles of plasmas and fusion and will also get the chance to see the devices used during their research including the Tokamak fusion reactor, the only one of its kind in Switzerland. This will all be presented in the form of a one hour tour delivered by one of the onsite scientists.
The Swiss Plasma Center is located in Lausanne, located approximately 45 minutes from Geneva, at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne campus. Considered one of the worlds most prestigious universities in the technology and engineering field.
Please note, the visit is free of charge but does need to be booked directly. It will also require coach or train transport to get to.
