Bletchley Park was the top-secret site where codebreakers worked during World War II to decipher enemy communications. A guided tour takes students through the historic buildings and exhibitions, offering insight into the intelligence work that contributed to the war effort. The learning sessions available are tailored to students ages and include interactive tasks which aim to develop their understanding of the role that ciphers played during WW2, with specific reference to the Enigma machine and the wider operations of Bletchley Park.

Educational Highlights

 Students can explore the role of cryptography, the impact of wartime intelligence, and the development of early computing. Exhibits include the Enigma machine, the work of Alan Turing, and the contributions of the men and women who worked at Bletchley Park.

Curriculum Enrichment

 A visit links to subjects such as history, mathematics, and computer science. Themes including codebreaking techniques, the role of intelligence in wartime strategy, and the origins of modern computing can be explored through interactive displays and guided discussions.
