Bhaktivedanta Manor, located near Watford, Hertfordshire, offers educational visits tailored for school groups seeking to enhance their understanding of Hinduism. These visits provide students with an immersive experience of an ancient tradition.
Available visits
2 hours (lunch not included), usually from 10am to 12pm, and includes:
- Interactive Presentation by a professional speaker
- Visit the shrine with explanation
- A visit to the cow sanctuary
- Option of visiting the Souvenir Shop
3 hours with lunch at the Temple, usually from 11am to 2pm, and includes:
- Interactive Presentation by a professional speaker
- Visit the shrine with explanation
- A visit to the cow sanctuary
- Lunch: A freshly prepared hot vegetarian feast
- Option of visiting the Souvenir Shop (souvenirs from £1 onwards, this supports our educational activities)
4.5 hours, with lunch at the Temple, usually from 10am to 2:30pm and includes:
- Interactive Presentation by professional speaker and group role play
- Bullock Cart ride and tour of grounds
- Visit the shrine and arati ceremony with explanation
- Freshly prepared hot vegetarian feast
- Option of Dressing-up in traditional dress
- Option of Traditional Face Painting
- Option of visiting the Souvenir Shop (souvenirs from £1 onwards, this supports our educational activities)

- Option of Yoga and meditation

A little more information about lunch - Provided lunch is a pure vegetarian menu, child friendly, nut free, and not spicy. Cooks prepare plain Rice; Matar Paneer Curry (peas and soft paneer cheese in tomato sauce); Indian Puri puffed bread; Crackers; Deep-fried chips and Apple juice.
As per the temple's policy to keep its sanctity honoured outside packed lunches are not allowed.
