The Museum of Natural History is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City – across the street from Central Park. The museum was founded in 1869 and is one of the largest museums in the world. It is made up of 25 interconnected buildings that house 46 permanent exhibition halls, research laboratories, and its renowned library. Their collections contain over 32 million specimens, which only a few can be displayed at any one time. This is a perfect place for your history students to visit to broaden their knowledge and understanding of natural history.
