A remarkable 70% of all the world's flowers are produced in The Netherlands. Aalsmeer is one of the world's largest flower auctions, where millions of flowers are sold daily, most for export overseas. It has a great visitors centre, which gives a bird's eye view of the trading floor. Visits before 9am are recommended to get the best out of the experience.
