9/11 Memorial & Museum
Visit the site of one of the biggest events to occur in modern American History.
The National September 11 Memorial was built to honour those that lost their lives in the terror attacks of 1993 and 2001 on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
Two huge Memorial pools take up the majority of the site in remembrance of the twin towers which once stood in its place. The names of almost 3000 people who all lost their lives are inscribed into the walls surrounding the pools.
The onsite museum also serves to tell the story of what happened on that tragic day. Using a number of different formats and viewpoints to explain the key events and aftermath of the attacks, the museum aims to document everything so that people can learn from and understand the irreparable damage caused.
