It’s almost here again! One of our favourite days, any excuse to dust off the fancy dress and celebrate all our favourite literary masterpieces puts a spring in our step! While we’re busy planning our fancy dress, channelling our favourite characters, and getting in the spirit we’re offering you a chance to join in on the fun with everyone at Adaptable Travel and be in with a chance of winning an Amazon Fire Tablet for your school or college.

We’re holding our first World Book Day event and want YOU and your class to get involved.

World Book Day Photograph Competition. On Thursday the 7th March 2019, we will be holding a photograph competition across our social media channels and giving away a fabulous Amazon Fire Tablet to one lucky school or college. This is so much more than a celebration of our favourite books across the world. It’s recognising the books that change us, shape us, inspire us and teach us.

There’s nothing quite like sinking into a comfy chair, with a good book in hand and delving into an adventure, from the comfort of your very own seat. Whether you’ve found yourself deciphering clues with Hercule Poirot, ensuring your survival on uninhabited islands with Ralph and “Piggy” or perfecting the “Swish and flick” and evading Professor Snape in the corridors after lights out, the adventure and intrigue of your perfect book can’t be matched. Join us in a celebration of all our favourite books, genres and authors this World Book Day.

Show us your best celebration whether it’s fabulous fancy dress, games galore, or a school story swap, let us know how you’re celebrating!  The winner will receive an Amazon Fire tablet, great for use inside or outside the classroom.

We’ll be sharing our favourite #TeamAdaptable photographs from the day, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for your favourite characters.

How to Enter

To enter your school or institute into the competition this World Book Day, follow the rules below!

Step 1

Use your social media accounts to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with entries, fun and competition information.

Step 2

Share and tag us in your favourite photo, on any of the above platforms with #AdaptableTravel #WorldBookDay included in the caption. Make sure entries get to us between 8:30 – 15:30 on the 7th March 2019. Please note: To ensure our marketing team receive every entry, our profile must be tagged within the post and both hashtags must be used.

Step 3

Entries will be shortlisted and shared to our social media accounts, the shortlisted entry with the most amount of combined likes will win our fabulous prize!

2. By entering you are granting Adaptable Travel permission to share your content across our social media and other marketing/promotional material relating to this event without payment.

3. Entries must only contain photos/content which you have the rights to. Entry grants entrant full responsibility for any copyright infringement within their entry.
