The Thyssen Bornemiszma Museum sits on what is known as the ‘Golden Triangle of Art’, which also includes two other museums in Madrid the Prado and the Reina Sofia. The Thyssen-Bornemiszma fills the historical gaps in its counterpart’s collection, making Madrid the ultimate exploration of art throughout the centuries. The museum began its collection in 1920 and is now housed in the fabulous 19th century Palacio de Villahermosa, within its impressive collection your students can expect to discover fine examples of Italian primitives as well as works from English, German and Dutch schools.
