The Louvre has long been considered one of the most famous museums in the world and ranks amongst one of the most visited museums hands down. The unique setting of The Louvre attracts tourists just as much as the impressive collection it houses. Set in a former Royal palace the Louvre began life as a fortress built under Philip II’s reign in the late 12th century. The museum itself holds a magnificent collection of Ancient and Western Art and is home to a spectacular collection of art from many different cultures all housed under one roof. Amongst its most famous residents is Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Mona Lisa who draws thousands each year.

This museum promises to be a unique and special visit for students, particularly those with a keen interest in art.
