Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge

This location is a brilliant experience for students, as an addition to the Giants Causeway or as an individual visit. Erected 350 years ago as an important element of Carrick-a-Rede’s historic fishing industry this beautiful landmark is now famous to eagle-eyed viewers worldwide as a filming location for Game of Thrones. Students can experience a winding coastal trail taking in the fantastic local landscape, including a crossing of the impressive rope bridge. The 20-metre rope bridge is suspended 30-metres above the breath-taking waters and enchanting caverns below, braving this bridge is sure to be an experience your students will remember for years to come. Once over the bridge, you can explore the intriguing history of the charming Carrick-a-Rede Island and its emerald greenery and magnificent views.
