With towns like Noordwijk offering a safe and well-positioned base for school groups, there is always something to do or see. Efteling theme park is one of Europe's largest theme parks, with fairytale themed lands packed with rides, attractions, museums and more. Why not take your students to see the famous Bulbfields and be blown away by the vast palette of colours on show from the thousands of tulips in the area? If you want your students to experience something a little more out of this world however, Noordwijk Space Expo has it covered. This first ever permanent space exhibition will allow you to see what it was like for the first people who stepped foot on the moon and you will also get the chance to experience a simulated rocket launch yourself!
The region has many similar exhibitions and towns including Gouda (famous for the cheese), Leiden (birthplace of Rembrandt) and historical Utrecht - making this an excellent region for school trips. Travel a little further inland and you will be greeted by the beautiful little town of Valkenburg. Settled around the ruins of an ancient castle, Valkenburg has an expansive cave system that has been created over many years. Christmas markets are held in the caves yearly and provide a unique take on the tradition. Also the close proximity to Amsterdam means that a day would be well spent in the capital taking in everything it has to offer from its museums to art galleries, you will be sure to find something that you will enjoy with a school trip to the Dutch Coast.
Cross-curriculum tours are a great way to help your group to bond, and boost your numbers. Contact us for information about other subject in this destination.
