The gap between boys and girls GCSE results has fallen again, and is now down to just 0.9 percent.

The Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) has dedicated this acheivement to teachers, with ATL general secretary Dr Mary Bousted stating "The narrowing of the GCSE attainment gap over the past 12 months is testimony to the hard work, dedication and commitment of teachers and their pupils".
