8th October 2009
The Pride of Britain Awards 2009 has meant pupils from Rookery Primary School in Handsworth, Birmingham have enjoyed a school trip to London which included a trip on the London Eye as a prize.

The Pupils nominated Eunice McGhie-Belgrave, 75, for an award, which in turn ensured they were able to receive their school trip to London as a treat. Eunice encourages inner-city kids to grow their own veg, and was crowned 2009 Pride of Britain 2009 Local Champion. The school children also had the opportunity to mix with the celebrities after they went on stage at the do.
