What is project Iceland?

Project Iceland is a unique concept developed by Adaptable Travel given to all groups who book with Adaptable Travel free of charge.  It includes a fantastic range of GCSE, curriculum based student and teacher resources that you will receive when you book your Iceland school trip with Adaptable Travel. This includes a full-colour 40 page Student Workbook, an accompanying Teacher Handbook and further classroom resources. The aim of Project Iceland is to enhance the learning of all students in your class, including those who do not go on the trip.

 

The Student Workbook

Project Iceland Student Workbook Iceland school tripsDeveloped in conjunction with Geography teacher Simon Wells, in addition to our very own geography expert Julie Webb. The Project Iceland Student Workbook is an innovative curriculum-led 40-page full colour printed workbook that every member of your group will receive, (plus a few spare copies for your classroom). This fantastic resource covers all the main visits and offers information, activities, further research, maps and more. This resource will enhance the trip whilst provide an invaluable classroom resource for extended projects based around Iceland.

 

 

Teacher Resources

Project Iceland Teacher Handbook - school trips to IcelandTeacher Handbook: This is a great accompaniment to the Student Workbook by giving answers to questions, guidance on Iceland trips, plus some great ideas for further activities both in Iceland and back in the classroom.

GCSE-focused Powerpoints: This will give clear learning objectives and outcomes and includes:

• Content from the student workbook, organised for teacher-led study so can be used in evening study sessions or back i n school before/after the trip;
• Model answers and mark schemes to practice questions in addition to those in the Student Workbook;
• Teachers’ notes to accompany slides where required.
