13th June 2012

As part of your Salon International 2012 trip, you can now add on the Alternative Hair Show 2012, and witness a unique hairdressing occasion.  Tony Rizzo, founder of Alternative Hair, and Anthony Mascolo, Global President of Alternative Hair formerly announce that in honour of the Worldwide Patron of Alternative Hair: Vidal Sassoon, this year’s Alternative Hair Show will be dedicated to his memory.

It is appropriate that is the same year that Alternative Hair was given charity status, with the mission statement: “Fighting Leukaemia”; Vidal Sassoon would succumb to the disease himself. “Legends”, the chosen theme for this show, has become all the more poignant with the recent sad news of the death of Alternative Hair’s Worldwide Patron, the world’s greatest ever hairdresser, Vidal Sassoon.

It is also very fitting that the Alternative Hair Show has invited many of the greatest living legends in hairdressing to present at this year’s show.  The work of every hairdresser today has in some way been touched by the incredible techniques that Vidal Sassoon created. The hairdressing legends showing at the 2012 Alternative Hair Show have certainly all been inspired and influenced by his incredible work.  The Alternative Hair Legends Presentation will not only be a homage to Vidal Sassoon, but will give the audience a rare opportunity to see the work of the global stars of hairdressing.  It is unusual to find so many hairdressing stars under one roof and the audience can be sure to experience a very special tribute to the revolutionary work of the wonderful Vidal Sassoon.
